They are the same ones I use for watch repairs. They are spring loaded closed so they will grip the pins even if you are not holding them.

Just ordered them tweezers from ebay so thank you very much as i really did need them in order to put a pin in and there to practice.
I have a practice curtained lock which will have to wait and also i have a 5 lever lock which for some reason i like lever locks better but will master the rim cylinder lock picking cuz im young and for some reason was always taking locks apart at an early age lol which annoyed my parents lol.
I wanted to ask if any members have a home made cheap 2 in 1 pick for sale and if so would be more then happy to send money first through paypal as i really want to start on lever locks and first one i will start on will be my bedroom door one.So anyone please let me know.
Thank you.

forget the 2in1 chell as you need to file it to fit a particular lock and then it might not be right for a different type of lock....cheap option and easy to do is use bike spokes...here are 2 vids I've done to show you...

Koolio
Thank you Peejay
When i get in from town tomorrow i shall try my best to get some spokes and then hmmmm could i use 2 sets of pliers to bend the spokes cuz i dont have my mini clamp yet.
I guess i will get it right by taking my lock apart as to get the right length on the spokes.
KK Thank you ever so much and i shall let you know when i have managed to pick my lock.
Best go sleep now.
Sweet dreams

Plz anyone ?
Thank you.
Kind Regards.

The price is right chell but there are so many different mortice locks and each one will use a different type of blank. The guage keys I think you saw are for curtain locks and help to identify the lock by the diameter of the key...Knowing the diameter reduces the type of lock to maybe 10 or so.
Is there a particular reason you need 100 blanks?

Thank you Peejay
No theres no reason why i need blank keys but if im going to get into this hobbie then i will just spend lil bit of money here and there.
I saw gauge keys a key extractor and thought yeah i'll buy them.
The blank keys i thought it might be cheaper then buying them gauge keys i saw on ebay alil while ago but what do i know? not alot.
Thank you for your reply and if theres anything you think i should have then plz let me know.
Will get round to getting some bike spokes lol theres always wrecked bikes about but when i need one theres none about.
KK Oh just one more thing, do lock smiths use a special mat for taking locks apart and putting pins n springs on them ?
Thank you.
Kind Regards.

I've got one of those mats but its not essential..just use a tea towel on the table to stop the pins rolling off.
Key extractors can be a godsend and are cheap enough.
Bike spokes can be bought on ebay for under a tenner per pack
a hobbyist wont need guage keys as they are only to help identify a lock in a door.

And lastly chell,
and its not a criticism....put your posts in the lock chat section as a few members wont see these in the new member section and you'll get more replies.
All the best santa
